The third crime novel in the Detective Inspector Miles Davies series, Storm Ransom, has been published.

This will be Davies’ most difficult case yet: when two professional footballers are kidnapped, their clubs face an impossible demand: pay a huge ransom or risk never seeing their star players again.

DI Davies is called in to bring the footballers home alive. But Miles has another objective – find the kidnappers’ hideout and catch the gang before they disappear.

As negotiations begin, the criminals’ patience starts to run out. And with the footballers’ lives hanging in the balance, Miles knows that one wrong move could turn a kidnapping into murder.

One of Steve Orme’s advanced readers describes Storm Ransom as “a page-turning crime novel which ranks alongside the best of its contemporary counterparts”.

Another said: “I was completely drawn in from page one, just like the previous Storm books. Storm Ransom has the perfect mix of humour, facts, sport and of course, crime. I loved the characters too, so easy to picture with their detailed descriptions.”
